WSA's EXTREME IRELAND
Our adventure through the Emerald Isle dives into all the highlights you need to experience on a first visit.
Day 0 - Friday: Optional early arrival
Opt into an early arrival and get in any time on Friday before the weekend. Our team will take those who arrive early out on the town, likely hitting up the Irish pub where PS I Love You was filmed along with another spot or two!
Day 1 - Saturday: Welcome to Dublin & Guinness Storehouse
Your Irish experience kicks off on Saturday morning at 10am! Arrive in the morning, and your Irish WSA guide will kick off the weekend with an insider tour of the city, stopping at key sights and favorite food shops along the way. We'll spend the afternoon in the Guinness Storehouse with free time to stay as long as you want and return on your own. Tonight we'll feast at an optional group dinner with drink specials at one of our favorite Irish restaurants in town. We'll catch a sampling of Dublin's famous 'craic' and live traditional music in the Temple Bar district this evening.
Day 2 - Sunday: Howth Hike (weather dependant)
On Sunday morning, around 10:30am, we'll catch the train out to the coastal town of Howth where you'll have the option to sample some fresh seafood from the market and take an hour long hike out around the Head of Howth. The afternoon is free for shopping and exploring, and we'll meet back at the hostel later that evening for another night out on the town. Alternative indoor options will be offered in case of bad weather (Public Art museums, Jameson distillery, Trinity College, Little Museum of Dublin, Museum of Literature and Archeology).
Day 3 - Monday: Time to Head West!
Save some energy to catch the bus out to Galway at a comfortable hour. We'll drop our bags at our hostel, and head out to explore beautiful downtown Galway. Your local Irish guide will show you around town and we'll have an option for any sort of cuisine you can imagine: fish 'n chips, pizza, Irish burgers, curries and more. Galway is known for their live music and we'll enjoy a show or two over a pint.
Day 4 - Tuesday: Cliffs of Moher
Today it's onto the Cliffs of Moher for a breathtaking view of Galway Bay. At the cliffs you'll enjoy Ireland at its most natural, rugged, panoramic and breathtaking. We'll return with enough time for a rest then heat out to grab a farewell dinner together and to discover new corners of Galway later that night.
Day 5 - Wednesday: Tour Over & Tearful Goodbyes
The official tour wraps up but you're guide will be around to help point you in any direction you may need to go. Buses back to Dublin airport take about 3 hours or you can take a bus to a flight out of Shannon Airport (about 2 hours).

This past weekend, I traveled to Budapest with WSA with a couple of friends from my university abroad, and I couldn't have asked for a better trip! After arriving at the hostel, we met Bogi, our tour guide for the weekend, who was instantly friendly and welcoming. Throughout the weekend, Bogi was an amazing guide! She showed us some great places for shopping and food, as well as the top sights around the city. You could tell she loved her job and never passed up an opportunity to share about her hometown and some of its history. She was so friendly and was sincerely interested in us as individuals and did everything she could do accommodate our priorities for the weekend (whether it was food, shopping, nightlife, sightseeing, etc.) I would highly recommend WSA's guided tours for any student studying abroad who wants to explore more than their university's city!Katrina Alford, Concordia University - Irvine ~ AIFS Richmond, Spring 2015
