Meet Your Tour Guide:
Originally from England, I moved to Rome in 2011 because... well... it is the sexiest city in the world! With me you will have a very unique experience... Italy from a British perspective... and with a British accent!!!! I have experienced these cities as a tourist and as a student, so I understand exactly how you feel, and I aim to make this the best trip ever and help you make the most out of every second!
Our no hostel option means you get to book your own accomodation and join in on all of our epic activities for the weekend with the rest of the group! Its the perfect option for people who have already booked accomodation in a city or a group of friends who might want to share an airbnb or a hotel room.
Our tour of Florence shows you the best this Tuscan town has to offer. The city is easily walkable, and our awesome local Florentine guide will not only show you the best sights and architecture of the city, but give you the fast track to experience the best tastes and nightlife as well!
3 Day-2 night options:
Do your best to get to the hostel by the time we kick everything off at 5pm on Friday. No worries if you're late, our local guide can get you caught up with the group and the hostel will have his number.
Day 0 - Thursday: Optional Early Arrival
Opt into an early arrival and get more time in Florence! There is plenty to see in town, and we'll be providing just what you need to know to ensure you make the most of your time. There are priceless sights to see, a leather market to explore and
Day 1 - Friday: Benvuenuti in Italia!
We'll meet up with the group on Friday evening at 5pm at the hostel. From there, we'll strike out for an evening walk and then an included aperitivo (drink and buffet dinner) at one of our favorite spots. This bar also happens to be one of the trendiest in town. Afterwards, we'll make our way, stopping for gelato and up for a beautiful view over the town at sunset. We like to provide a sampling of Tuscan wines for you to enjoy as well.
Now that you're well-oriented, your guide will set you free for the evening to pursue your own interests. If you're exhausted from your day of travel, your local guide will deliver you back to the hostel.
Day 2 - Saturday: Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance
From today, you'll understand just why Florence is so important to modern western society. Just about every classic dome we know--from the capitol building, to Jefferson's Monticello can trace their lineage of inspiration back to Florence's most emblematic icon: the Duomo. We'll learn all about that, the Baptistry and its famous doors, and the bell tower.
Our city-center hostel makes checking out the Duomo easy. And just a few blocks in the other direction, we'll skip the line into the Accademia which houses Michelangelo's original David. Last night, you just saw an outdoor replica. We'll continue on to check out the leather market, food markets and set you loose for free time so you can double back to whatever interests you most.
This evening, we'll have a florentine feast and hit another strip of bars famous among the American study abroad students who call Florence their home for 4 months at a time.
Day 3 - Sunday: Tearful Goodbyes
Spend your last day exploring another fun neighborhood of town and explore the local markets. For those with more time in Italy, we highly reommend taking two or three days each to experience Rome, the Cinque Terre, Venice or Milan. Shoot us an email and we're more than happy to assist you making plans and itineraries there.
On this day you're free to depart at your leisure. Please leave time for getting to whatever departure airport you have--try not to book anything before 9am or 10am if possible.Book Now

This past weekend, I traveled to Budapest with WSA with a couple of friends from my university abroad, and I couldn't have asked for a better trip! After arriving at the hostel, we met Bogi, our tour guide for the weekend, who was instantly friendly and welcoming. Throughout the weekend, Bogi was an amazing guide! She showed us some great places for shopping and food, as well as the top sights around the city. You could tell she loved her job and never passed up an opportunity to share about her hometown and some of its history. She was so friendly and was sincerely interested in us as individuals and did everything she could do accommodate our priorities for the weekend (whether it was food, shopping, nightlife, sightseeing, etc.) I would highly recommend WSA's guided tours for any student studying abroad who wants to explore more than their university's city!Katrina Alford, Concordia University - Irvine ~ AIFS Richmond, Spring 2015
