For most of my time here I have been working as a tour guide and getting to share my love for the city with visitors from all over the world. For me, Barcelona is the perfect city because it really has something for everyone with its amazing history, art, cuisine, nightlife, and of course, sunny beaches. Gothic Quarter Tour Plus Paella & Sangria Cooking Class

Meet your local guide at 4:30 pm.  We recommend getting there 10-15 minutes early and just look for the bright orange shirt
First we'll explore the oldest district of Barcelona and see some of Europe's most beautiful medieval architecture, including the city's massive gothic cathedral
You'll dive into the city's past, present and future. Learn everything that's happened here from the Roman times up to the modern era and the current bid for independence
Hear the legends of saints and dragon slayers that have shaped the region's folklore
Learn about the contemporary culture of Barcelona and some of the craziest local traditions
Your group will continue towards La Rambla, one of Europe’s best shopping streets
Next you'll have the chance to explore the world famous Boqueria market to pick up the ingredients to make the perfect paella and sangria
Experience a hands on class led by an very entertaining chef where you can learn what it takes to make a perfect paella and sangria then enjoy a dinner with your classmates afterwards to devour the fruit of your labor
Your local guide will be able to make tons of recommendations for what do with your remaining time in Barcelona

Gaudi & Sagrada Familia

COST: €39  •  TIME & DATE: Saturday 11am-3pm

Meet your local guide at 11am.  We recommend getting there 10-15 minutes early and just look for the bright orange shirt
First we'll Head up the Passeig de Gracia, the most exclusive avenue in Barcelona, and see over the top residences constructed by city's wealthy elite, including Gaudi's famous Casa Mila and Casa Battlo
We'll explore the mind of Antoni Gaudi, Barcelona's superstar architect, and how his designs transcended the contemporary art world
Check out the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece and his most ambitious project, and really understand the story of the building and Gaudi's mission: to tell the entire story of the bible in stone
Next you'll skip-the-line into the Sagrada Familia which will be the world's tallest basilica once completed.  Gaudi was a master with stained glass and light and the inside of the cathedral is absolutely breathtaking
Finally you can check out the museum to learn all about the construction of the Sagrada Famila and see photos from the various stages of creation

Street Art & Barcelona's Best Food & Drink

You'll get to explore the rebellious side of Barcelona discovering sights important to the 20th century civil war and Barcelona's anarchist past.  You will get to know the real Barcelona and learn about contemporary social struggles
With rebellion comes beautiful art and this district boasts some of the best street art Barcelona has to offer.  Get your camera ready because this is Instagram heaven
Discover works by world famous artists Keith Haring and Fernando Botero, as well as Picasso and Hemingway's favorite hangouts
Next we'll head to one of our favorite spots for you to enjoy some delicious Spanish food and drink.  You'll get the chance to try pintxos (think bruschetta but with so many more choices in toppings) and sample some classic drinks like sangria, cava, and vermouth
