Alhambra
Posted by Andy Steves in on November 9, 2011.
Almost all the famous palaces, churches and monasteries in Spain are built on the skeleton of a building that was destroyed before it, yet the Alhambra is pure original beauty. The tour begins through a good-luck arch (if you walk through it holding hands with a lover you will married within a year) and ambles through rooms carved with intricate lettering, designs and mosaics. The wood paneling is cut to form stars so the light filters through and palace rooms alternating between shady alcoves and flower filled courtyards. The palace is incredibly beautiful- a kaleidoscope of color and history and I can’t wait to go back!
