To Venice for Carnevale!
Posted by Andy Steves on September 15, 2010.
As I don my mask, crossing the Rio Grande on the Rialto, I instantly become a different person. To my right, my friend looks like a cheap Italian imitation of Batman with glowing red eyes. To my left, another friend has sprouted green and blue feathers out of her porcelain … More »

Home Sweet Rome
Posted by Andy Steves on September 15, 2010.
I can see the Ancient City in the distance as my plane descends into Rome on this Sunday afternoon. I can’t keep track of all the excited thoughts flying through my head at light speed. What am I going to do? How am I going to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime experience? I know I am … More »

The Five-Floor Mega Club
Posted by Andy Steves on September 15, 2010.
The next night I did it all over again, but this time with a pack of Brazilians in a five-story club. The Chileans had to catch a flight to somewhere else early that morning. Study Abroad Rome—A Springboard for European Adventure
Posted by Andy Steves on September 15, 2010.
I expected this trip to be different from the others: a semester abroad, based in Rome…on my own. I remember being sad saying goodbye to my mom at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on January 7th, 2008, and seeing her cry, but other than that, my mind was a blank canvas. I had purposely … More »

Happy Backpackers
Traveling with WSA to Rome, especially during Easter weekend was the best choice I ever made. The guides, Andy, Elena, and Rhianne, were nothing less than superior and they are excellent at what they do. They gave us a fun-filled weekend and showed us the best of Rome during one of the busiest times of the year! I HIGHLY recommend this company to any students that are considering traveling in Europe
