FALL SEMESTER '12 DATES COMING SOON!

Alright, here's how your jam-packed sightseeing weekend is going to shake out:

The tour officially starts at 10:00am on Friday when we'll have a brief orientation session and meeting.  Then the fun begins as we're going to hop on the Caesar Shuffle and make our way from dancing with the gladiators at the Colosseum, to wandering through the Roman Forum where we'll cap the afternoon with a panino on the steps of Pantheon. After that, you're free to explore on your own, or catch a nap back at the hostel for the afternoon.

That evening, we'll meet back at the hostel for an evening walk past the historical Spanish Steps, stumble upon the Trevi fountain where we'll toss a coin to guarantee a return to Italy, catch dinner behind the now-floodlit Pantheon and enjoy a typical Italian dinner with the charasmatic Mikki at Miscellanea. We'll finish the evening at the popular Campo de' Fiori.

The next day, we have an early morning beating the lines for the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. For the afternoon we'll catch the metro back to Piazzo del Popolo where we'll set you free to explore the back streets of Rome once more or go shopping in the famous designer boutique district to rub elbows with some of Romes glitterati.

We'll tour Rome's historical and up and coming trendy neighborhood, Trastevere, Saturday evening.  You'll have the option to go to the best pizzeria in the city, with a dozen different types of pizza.  And cap it off with another evening walk in the lively, historic neighborhood.

For our Easter weekend, we'll distribute Mass tickets Saturday night and get up  on Sunday in time to head to St. Peter's for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be in Rome on Easter Sunday!

Happy Backpackers:

WSA Rome was the most beautiful city I have been to while abroad and WSA made it worth every penny!  My friends and I are all dying to go back to Rome now!  Usually guided tours are so boring but not with WSA in Rome. The guides are fantastic and they made each tour both interesting and fun. I learned so much on the tour and it was well organized. The hostel and clean and the people are friendly and the food was amazing!  Marti took us out to some amazing restaurants and helped us find our way around Rome when we had free time!  If I study abroad again I am definitely going back on another WSA trip!

No one had a bad thing to say about the trip! Visiting the Vatican Museums was my favorite part because of all of the statues and art work we saw.  I never thought any of it would be as breathtaking as it was.  I could have easily spent all day walking around and snapping pictures but WSA brought everything to life for me. It was fantastic!

I also think the trip was worth every penny and it was reasonably priced. The price is the reason why I chose WSA in the first place.
