On top of that we'll crash at the city's best hostel in the very heart of the city so you'll never be far from the action. Amsterdam is a must-see destination.
GET THERE!
As with all our tours, just show up at the hostel and we'll take it from there. Your trip-prep email will have all the information on how to find our sweet hostel no matter how you're getting in. WSA Amsterdam was my 3rd WSA tour of the semester and I loved every minute of it. It was well balanced between the liberal side of Amsterdam and the history and cultural side. Andy was great at giving directions to different places and making sure everyone was having a good time. Let's put it this way, I had such a WONDERFUL time with WSA that I signed up to end my semester with my 4th WSA trip, WSA Prague!
I was amazed at how much there was to do in Amsterdam. I thought the tour represented the city and culture wonderfully by being in a "laid back" do as you want nature. I also liked that even during "free time" there were optional planned activities that were still really neat to experience.
I think the value is great! I don't have to worry about planning out my days and figuring out where a good hostel is. I also love the fact there is a tour guide. All the WSA guides I have had have been AMAZING! They are all full of knowledge of the city layout, history, and are so helpful. I also love how they point out the small local traditions, superstitions, and other pieces of info that only a local would know.
My wow moments were going through the Anne Frank House and Sunday afternoon after the tour. I am a huge Anne Frank fan and was having an inner freak out moment that I was actually touring the Secret Annex.
