    by: Andrew Simon, London Intern

When I was boarding the plane and getting ready to leave for my semester in London I did not know what to expect.  After all, this was going to be my first time in Europe.  In addition, this was going to be the first time I was out of the country by … More »

  • I made it!

    by: Erin Kelligher, Dublin Intern

As a relatively new traveler, the thought of flying alone internationally was just another obstacle I had to overcome to live in Limerick, Ireland for four months, first with a weekend detour in Dublin. Family and friends asked if I was nervous, which I was, … More »

    By Lucie Levine, Barcelona Intern

When I arrived in Barcelona, I was jet-lagged, confused, anxious, nervous, and pretty much terrified. I didn’t have many expectations; I guess I had basic ones – to travel, make friends, and, obviously, study. I wish I had known what I know now: the first … More »

Happy Backpackers

I chose to do this rather than book my own trip in Rome - I wanted to experience one organized/sight-seeing trip rather than a relaxing vacation like many of my others had been. Two friends and I signed up for WSA Rome and don't regret a thing. We met wonderful people, were led by an awesome tour guide Rhianne, and got to see everything I wanted to see in Rome. Plus eat all the best food. There is an optional dinner on the last night that we didn't do right away, but we ended up going to it, and it was SO worth the 20 euro. I made memories and friends, and got to see a beautiful, historic city thanks to WSA!!
