About WSA Packages

Weekend Student Adventures tour packages are designed for the inquisitive, adventurous and fun-seeking students studying abroad in Europe who want to make the most of their time and money overseas.

With a WSA tour, there are no hidden fees or "optional upgrades."  When visiting Rome, you have to see the Colosseum. When visiting Paris, you gotta see the Louvre. So what sense is there making you pay individually for it--and making you waste time standing in line for it? Read on for more information.

WSA tours are active, efficient and pack as much value as possible into your short visit to each city. Please note that some tours include long stair climbs (like the Eiffel Tower in Paris) and a bike tour of the city which may be physically difficult to some.

Here's what is included in a WSA tour package:

  • 2 nights in a top-rated hostel in the heart of the city (Fri, Sat).  Option for Thursday night hostel stay for an additional 25 Euros that includes orientation walk on Thursday evening.
  • Top museum entrances (i.e. the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe etc.)
  • Skip-the-line sightseeing entry (saving literally hours of your weekend)
  • All local group transportation (metro and bus passes to get us around the city)
  • The full-time expertise of your professional WSA guide
  • A small friendly group size of 20-30 (a fraction of the size of most tour groups)
  • Local guides, walking tours and bike tours
  • Suggestions on great local restaurants that give you a true taste of the local cuisine!
  • and more! See individual tour specs for detailed information.

Additional Inclusions for our special weekend packages (ex. Easter Rome & St. Patrick's Dublin. Please see tour specs for full details!):

  • A third night in the hostel (Thurs)
  • 1 or 2 additional group meals
  • VIP St. Patrick's day parade passes
  • Easter Mass tickets in Rome

Also included in your first tour is a 15 discount for any other tour of your choice. Book 3 WSA tours and get your 4th half off! Please email us beforehand for the code!

What's not included and why:

  • Transportation from and back to your origin city:  Allows flexibility to easily coordinate weekend adventures with friends studying in other cities and guarantees you in the same hostel during the same weekend. It also gives you flexibility in plans and lets you find those special transportation deals for 1 or 2 seats at a time that otherwise wouldn't be available to WSA
  • Free time sightseeing and entries:  Our customers have told us they want some free time to explore on their own, which is another great way to see a new city. You can get a sense for the perfect balance we've struck between our efficient group sightseeing and free time by reading our student testimonials!
  • Alcoholic drinks:  Liability and the fact that we do not center our tours around pub crawls
  • Transfer from airport to hostel:  Flexibility to arrive when you want, but we'll recommend the best transfer methods specific to the city
  • Meals: Our past customers have told us they would like the flexibility of opting in or out of meals with WSA.  We will still take those students who are interested to the great local restaurants we know, but  we will leave it up to you on how you choose to spend your meal money. Some--not all--tours include breakfast at the hostel.
  • Any ski passes and/or gear rental:  Due to liability, and also the fact that we can't predict the weather despite our best efforts!

Additional Expenses to Budget For:

  • Transportation to and from destination city, with airport/train station transfers to the WSA hostel
  • Personal shopping
  • Independent meals
  • Alcoholic drinks
  • Other entertainment
